VISTAPRINT SURVEY INDICATES THAT ONLINE MARKETING TAKING HOLD AMONG SMALL BUSINESSES

Small Business Survey Shows Many Likely to Adopt Email Marketing
and Social Media Options in 2010

Vistaprint N.V. (Nasdaq: VPRT), the company that provides high-impact personalized products and services for small businesses and the home, recently conducted a comprehensive survey that unearthed interesting trends in small business marketing. According to the survey results, small businesses are likely to increase their use of online forms of marketing including email marketing, paid and organic search, and custom websites over the next 12 months. As small businesses have more time and money to focus on marketing, many indicated that they are considering testing online programs, among other areas.

“It’s apparent from the results of our survey that small businesses are adapting to market changes and are considering trying other methods, including online initiatives,” said Trynka Shineman, chief marketing officer for Vistaprint North America. “Not only are online options like email marketing, local search and unique websites cost efficient, especially in a recession, but the Internet is where potential small business customers are moving. This survey has confirmed that small businesses will start to try and incorporate online options as part of their overall marketing plan. Of course they are still using tried and true methods like direct mail, but it seems they are more willing to diversify than ever before.”

Vistaprint’s survey was an in-depth look at marketing avenues that small businesses are currently embracing. After analyzing the results of the survey, Vistaprint expects the following small business behaviors in the next year:

• Email marketing will continue to be a very important marketing tactic, as small businesses cited it as one method that they have most commonly used or would be likely to try moving forward.
• Social media avenues like Twitter and Facebook are an area many small businesses will look to explore and capitalize on in the next 12 months. Time is the biggest perceived barrier to these efforts.
• Despite time and money being perceived barriers to starting websites for small businesses, it’s clear that their adoption rate will continue to increase, especially amongst micro and single proprietor businesses. Currently only 38 percent of small businesses have a website.
• YellowPage ads and listings continue to be frequently used, indicating that local search is very much an area of focus for small businesses, especially online.

The survey also found that small businesses might need more education when it comes to marketing, including resources they can tap into. Almost 50 percent of the survey respondents don’t regularly seek any type of advice or counsel with regard to their marketing efforts. When they do, they typically look online for resources. Only four percent took advantage of their local Small Business Administration office, and only eight percent actively participated in their local chambers of commerce. Finally, many small businesses are interested in testing and tracking their marketing campaigns, but only 50 percent are currently doing so to ensure success.

Done in conjunction with Hawk Partners the survey was conducted over a one week period and looked at 300 various employers, including businesses with a sole proprietor, businesses with two-10 employees, and over 10 employees for a true sampling of small business behavior.

DRAWINGS FROM THREE CHILDREN FROM VIRGINIA TO BE FEATURED ON HOLIDAY GREETING CARD TO BENEFIT TOYS FOR TOTS

Vistaprint Selected the Design From over 100 Entries

Following up on a joint announcement made earlier this year, today Vistaprint N.V. (Nasdaq:VPRT) and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation announced that they have picked one design to be featured during their 2009 holiday greeting card campaign. Picked from a group of over 100 impressive submissions, Amanda and Carson, age 7, and Amber, age 11, of the Clinch Valley Community Action Program in Tazewell, VA, came up with drawings of their favorite toys – a guitar, an iPod, and a stuffed puppy dog.

A number of organizations participated in the national coloring project, with the Carrie Steele–Pitts Home in Atlanta, GA, the Wade Center in Bluefield, WV, and Clinch Valley Community Action in Tazewell, VA, all taking part. Children were given an opportunity to draw a picture of their favorite toy and provide a short description of why. Some of the submissions included stuffed animals, video game consoles, and portable music players, to name a few. The children’s drawing will be featured on one holiday card that will be jointly offered between Vistaprint and Toys for Tots this upcoming holiday season.

“When we got the submissions it was really heartwarming and we were impressed by a lot of the work that the kids had done,” said Vistaprint Chief Marketing Officer for North America, Trynka Shineman. “It was obvious that the kids really took their time and put a lot of effort into their drawings. Some kids had a favorite doll, others had electronics, and of course some even had a holiday theme, which was great. We look forward to unveiling the children’s drawings as part of our 2009 holiday card collection.”

VISTAPRINT COMPLETES ANOTHER PHASED EXPANSION AT CANADIAN MANUFACTURING FACILITY

Build-out Utilizes Green Initiatives, Cements Company’s Presence in Windsor,
Ontario

Vistaprint North American Services Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vistaprint Limited (Nasdaq:VPRT), the company that provides high-impact personalized products and services for small businesses and the home, today announced that it has completed another phased expansion of its North American manufacturing facility in Windsor, Ontario.

The expansion is one of several planned phases for the facility which opened in 2005, and added nearly 140,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space. Along with reaffirming the company’s commitment to the area and people of Windsor - who have been valuable partners for nearly five years - the new expansion incorporated a multitude of green initiatives to reduce energy consumption. This phase of the expansion was completed during Vistaprint’s 2009 fiscal year, which ended on June 30, 2009.

The expansion was completed by the Rosati Group and followed industry guidelines for sustainable construction. These efforts include: the use of natural light available from the plant’s skylights and coated windows, high efficiency light fixtures, heating and cooling systems based on a central plant design, occupancy sensors in offices, break areas and conference rooms, improved insulation quality and improved humidity control.

“Over the past year, both the company’s customer base and product lines have continued to increase and this expansion will enable Vistaprint to meet the projected demand of our North American customer base,” said President of Vistaprint North America, Wendy Cebula. “This new construction has also enabled the company to implement advancements in green technology to reduce the plant’s carbon footprint while still expanding.”

The expansion, started in summer of 2008, includes over 80,000 square feet of production space and 39,000 square feet of office space, bringing the facility’s total area to just under 300,000 square feet. The Windsor plant is responsible for the fulfillment of the company’s orders in North America. On a daily basis, Vistaprint processes an average of 44,000 orders at its facilities in Windsor and Venlo, the Netherlands.
